Al Kovalik, PE, LEED-AP
Al is a civil and environmental engineer with over 23 years experience in soil and groundwater
contamination matters, working as the lead engineer on several CERCLA superfund
and numerous brownfield sites. He has been responsible for numerous large
scale projects at waste sites contaminated with asbestos, polymers, heavy
metals, acids, caustics, pesticides, solvents, PCBs, and petroleum products. He has
considerable experience working at industrial waste sites, contaminated
commercial properties, and manufacturing facilities. Al
has expertise in urban storm water
control design, hazardous building management
at major commercial facilities and industrial facility maintenance activities.
His affiliations include the National Society of Professional Engineers where serves as a national delegate for Connecticut. He serves on the UCONN CEE Advisory board and has served as president of the non-profit organization Groundwork Bridgeport. Mr. Kovalik was a member of the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s (CTDEEP) Climate Change Infrastructure Adaptation Subcommittee. |
